Philippines: Mindanao Displacement Snapshot as of 22 November 2023

As of 09 November, more than 11,300 were reported displaced due to multiple armed encounter in the municipalities of Datu Odin Sinsuat, Shariff Saydona Mustapha, and Mamasapano. This is on top of the 22,000 displaced people reported in October 2023. Flooding brought by weather disturbances displaced over 14,000 in several parts of Mindanao. A 6.8 magnitude earthquake hit the municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental on 17 November 2023. As of 19 November, DSWD reported more than 15,700 people were affected mostly from the adjacent provinces of Sarangani and South Cotabato. Approximately 1,500 people were also reported affected by fire incidents in Davao City on 14 November 2023.
