Heavy rainfall has been affecting northern and southern Philippines, in particular the southern Luzon island and the northern Mindanao island over the past few days, causing floods that have resulted in population displacement and damage.
Media report, as of 11 June, one injured person, 85 evacuated people, 1,300 affected people, a number of damaged infrastructures, and one damaged bridge in the area of San Jose del Monte city, Bulacan province, Central Luzon region. In addition, media report 52 evacuated families across the Metro Manila area. Moreover, a number of damaged infrastructures were also reported across the Cagayan de Oro city, Misamis Oriental province, Northern Mindanao region.
Over the next 72 hours, more heavy rainfall with locally very heavy rainfall is still forecast over most of the country.
