Philippines - Floods and landslides (PAGASA, ADINet) (ECHO Daily Flash of 29 November 2022)

  • On 25 November, flash floods and landslide events caused by heavy rainfall were reported across Cotabato Province (central-western Mindanao, southern Philippines).
  • The ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports, two people died in Alamada town, while a landslide occurred in Libungan town but no casualties were reported.
  • More than 620 people have been affected, and of these, 322 have been displaced to evacuation centres.
  • On 29-30 November, drier conditions are expected over Cotabato Province, while light to moderate rainfall is forecast over most of northern and eastern Mindanao.
