Heavy rainfall has been affecting most of Mindanao Island, southern Philippines, over the last week, causing floods and triggering landslides that have resulted in population evacuation and damage.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD DROMIC) reports, as of 20 March, 133 displaced people, a total of nearly 19,200 affected people and 15 damaged houses across the Davao region (south-eastern Mindanao Island), where the most affected are the Davao de Oro and the Davao Occidental provinces.
Over the next 72 hours, more rainfall is still forecast over most of Mindanao Island.
