At 10:00 AM, The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 160 KM East Northeast of
Infanta, Quezon (15.1°N, 123.1°E). This Weather disturbance is likely to develop into a Tropical Depression within 48
Hours.
At 8:00 PM, the Low Pressure Area east of Baler, Aurora developed into Tropical Depression “DODONG”.

At 5:00 AM, TD “DODONG” made its first landfall in Dinapigue, Isabela with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near
the center and gustiness of up to 55 km/h, and central pressure of 1000 hPa.
TCWS No.1 was raised over Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Mountain Province,
Ifugao, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, the northern portion of Pangasinan (San Nicolas, San Manuel, Sison,
San Fabian, Pozorrubio, Bolinao, Bani, City of Alaminos, Sual, Labrador, Lingayen, Agno, Binmaley, Dagupan City, San
Jacinto, Mangaldan, Anda), and the northern and central portions of Aurora (Maria Aurora, San Luis, Baler, Dipaculao,
Dinalungan, Casiguran, Dilasag).
At 10:00 PM, TD “DODONG” slightly intesified as it moved west southwestward over the coastal waters of Laoag, Ilocos
Norte with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 90 km/h, and central pressure of 998
hPa.
TCWS No. 1 was raised over the western portion of Cagayan (Pamplona, Santa Praxedes, Claveria, Sanchez-Mira,
Allacapan, Lasam, Santo Niño, Tuao, Rizal, Piat, Abulug, Ballesteros, Enrile, Solana, Amulung, Alcala) including the
western portion of Babuyan Islands (Babuyan Is., Dalupiri Is., and Fuga Is.), Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Mountain Province,
Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.

“DODONG” maintains its strength over the West Philippine Sea west of Ilocos Region.
At 4:00 AM, the center of Tropical Depression DODONG was estimated based on all available data at 270 km West of
Sinait, Ilocos Sur (17.7°N, 117.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 70
km/h, and central pressure of 996 hPa. It is moving westward at 20 km/h.
It is forecast to move generally northwestward before turning west northwestward for the remainder of the forecast period.
It may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between this afternoon, 15 July 2023, and tomorrow early morning
16 July 2023.
At 5:00 PM, Tropical Storm DODONG maintains its strength and is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
