Philippines: Flooding in Eastern Mindanao due to Northeast Monsoon and Low Pressure Area (As of 13 February 2024)

The Northeast Monsoon and the trough of the Low Pressure Area that started on 28 January brought continued rains resulting in landslides and extensive flooding in Davao and Caraga region. On 06 February a major rain-induced landslide buried homes and buses filled with mining employees in Maco, Davao De Oro. National government is augmenting the local response while damage assessments are ongoing. Mindanao Humanitarian Team is compiling assessment and response activities.
