Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) handed over a Php 2 Million check to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) today, at the BSP Complex in Malate Manila.
PRC Chairman and CEO Richard Gordon received the donation from BSP Governor Nestor Espenillas Jr. “Thank you Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for your trust in the Philippine Red Cross. PRC assured the BSP that their contribution shall go a long way in fulfilling its mission to alleviate human suffering and help the most vulnerable through its quality of volunteers, logistics, and information technology,” said Gordon.
BSP has been a partner of the PRC for ten years and is committed to conduct blood donation twice a year among its employees to support the Red Cross’ blood donation program.
The said donation will form part of PRC's humanitarian assistance to the affected family in Marawi and PRC’s Blood Samaritan Program.
