SYNOPSIS: Southwest Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon..

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITIONS: llocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales and Bataan will experience Monsoon Rains due to Southwest Monsoon. It may cause flooding and landslides due to scattered moderate to heavy rains.

The rest of Central Luzon and of Cagayan Valley Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by Southwest Monsoon. It may cause flooding and landslides due to scattered moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms. It may cause flash floods and landslides due to light to moderate to at times heavy rains.

II. EFFECTS

A. Incident Monitored (TAB A)

  • A total of 31 incidents were monitored in Regions l and CAR.

B. Affected Population (TAB B)

  • A total of 10,821 families / 47,299 persons were affected in 176 barangays in the Regions l and CAR.

  • Of which, a total of 335 families 1 1,332 persons are being served inside and outside evacuation centers:

    • Inside 1 ECs: 109 families / 483 persons

    • Outside ECs: 226 families I 849 persons
