I. Situation Overview

6 November 2019

• At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm "QUIEL" (I.N. NAKRI) was estimated based on all available data at 455 km West Northwest of Coron, Palawan (13.7 °N, 116.4 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 90 km/h. It remains almost stationary. Tail-end of a Cold Front affecting Northern Luzon.

• Active Tropical Cyclone outside PAR as of 3:00 PM: TYPHOON “HALONG” (1923)

Location: 2,975 KM East of Extreme Northern Luzon (21.2 °N, 150.6 °E)

Maximum Sustained Winds: 215 km/h near the center

Gustiness: Up to 265 km/h
