III. AFFECTED POPULATION (Tab A)

  • The total number of population affected in 40 barangays / 10 municipalities / 2 cities in the 5 provinces of Regions IV-B, VI, VIII, X, XI and CARAGA is 2,053 families / 9,482 persons

  • Total number of population inside the 20 evacuation centers is 753 families / 3,202 persons

IV.PREPAREDNESS MEASURES/ACTIONS TAKEN

NDRRMC-OCD

  • NDRRMC Emergency OpCen remains activated at “BLUE ALERT” STATUS to monitor the effects of the current weather system/s while continuously providing advisories/warnings/bulletins and related information to all concerned and uploaded the same at the NDRRMC Website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts for further dissemination to their respective local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs) from the provincial down to the municipal levels

  • Directed RDRRMCs concerned through the OCD Regional Centers to undertake precautionary measures in their respective areas of responsibility (AOR) and subsequently advised local DRRMCs to initiate pre-emptive evacuation of families in low-lying and mountainous areas if situation warrants

PAGASA

  • Continuously provides NDRRMC OpCen with advisories on the current Weather system/s, Gale Warnings and General Flood Bulletins

DILG

  • Continuously disseminates weather advisories to LGUs concerned particularly in Region VIII except for Northern Samar where phone lines are downed since 9 January – communication to the area is done mostly thru cellphone and email.
