A. SITUATION OVERVIEW
A strong LOCAL earthquake occurred OFFSHORE Negros Oriental (Tayasan) at 11:49AM, 06 February 2012, located at 9.97 N., 123.14 E with depth of 10 KM and a preliminary magnitude of 6.9 Mb. PHIVOLCS received some reports of unusual sea level changes within the projected arrival period of tsunami waves in the Negros and Cebu Island coasts.
