I. SITUATION OVERVIEW

13 April 2017
The monitored Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 900 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (8.0°N, 134.5°E).

14 April 2017
The LPA 'f'as estimated based on all available data at 615 km East of Surigao City, Suriga9 del Sur (9'.8°N, 131.0°E) at 10:00 AM.

At 4:00 AM, the LPA developed into a Tropical Depression (TD) and was named "CRISING".

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (TCWS) No. 1 is raised in Sorsogon, Albay, and Masbate including Ticao Island in Luzon and Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar, Biliran, and northern portion of Leyte in Visayas.

15 April 2017
At 4:00 AM, the center of TD ''CRISING" was estimated at 220 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (10.9°N, 127.7°E) with maximum winds of up to 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 68 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 22 kph.

At 5:00 PM, TCWS No. 1 is raised in Sorsogon, Burias Island, Romblon, Masbate, Ticao Island, Aklan, Antique, lloilo, Capiz, Cebu, Negros Occidental, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, Biliran, Leyte, And Southern Leyte.

At 6:30 PM, TD "CRISING" has made landfall over Hemani, Eastern Samar.

After making landfall, 11CRISING" has weakened into a Low Pressure Area. All TCWS are now lifted. Light to moderate rains is still expected over Visayas and Regions V and CARAGA.
