I. WEATHER UPDATE

02 November 2018

At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm (TS) "YUTU" (formerly ROSITA) was located based on all available data at 615 km West of Basco, Batanes (21.1°N, 116.1°F) with maximum sustained winds of up to 75 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 90 km/h. It is moving North at 10 km/h.

Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm caused by the trough of TS "YUTU". Possible floodings or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy skies to at times cloudy with rainshowers or thunderstorm caused by localized thunderstorm. Possible floodings or lanslides due to severe thunderstorms.

II. EFFECTS

A. Incidents Monitored (TAB A)

• A total of nineteen (19) incidents (landslide, flooding and capsized boat) were reported in Regions II, CALABARZON and CAR.

B. Affected Population (TAB B) • A total of 48,232 families or 175,231 persons were affected in 1,173 baranqays in Regions I, II, Ill, VIII, and CAR.

• Of which, a total of 1,688 families 14,950 persons are being served inside 68 ECs.

C. Casualties

• A total of two (2) were injured and one (1) missing in regions CALABARZON and CAR.

D. Damaged Houses (TAB C)

• A total of 7,308 houses were damaged (6,494 partially / 814 totally) in Regions I, II, Ill, VIII, and CAR.
