NDRRMC UPDATE: Progress Report re Overflowing of Sapali River in Surallah and Three (3) Landslide Incidents in T'boli and Tampakan, South Cotabato Province

· On 30 March 2011, the Sapali River overflowed as a result of continuous heavy rains which affected 2 families/10 persons and a landslide occurred at around 1:00 PM between Brgy Kematu and Desawo tunnel in T'boli which also affected 1 family/5 persons. Three (3) victims, identified as Meliton Otero, 50 years old from Purok Asenda, Denlag, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato; Christopher Lagumbay, 35 years old from Purok Oro 1, Poblacion, T'boli, South Cotabato; and Ruben Castro, 27 years old also from Purok Oro 1 were reported dead while two (2) other victims, identified as Dusen Canson, 50 years old and MackMack Tamanggong, 28 years old both from Sitio Lamblete, Kematu, T'boli, South Cotabato, were reported injured · Four (4) bridges namely, Lamsug Bridge, Naci Bridge, Sinolon Bridge and Lemisi Bridge were damaged amounting to PhP200,000.00; one (1) house was damaged, also amounting to PhP20,000.00; and three (3) cows were drowned worth PhP80,000.00

· On 1 April 2011 at around 1:00 PM, another landslide occurred in Sitio Colombong, Brgy New Dumangas, T'boli with one (1) reported dead identified as Randy Asistido also from Sitio Colombong, T'boli

· On 2 April 2011 at around 9:00 AM another landslide also occurred in Sitio Bong Antem, Kampo Kilot, Brgy Pula Bato, Tampakan. Four (4) victims, identified as Remy Daway, 29 yrs old from Brgy Cacub, Koronadal City; Kimram Bayore, 21 yrs old from Brgy Denlag, Tampakan; Daniel Pandoy, 28 yrs old from Brgy Cacub, Koronadal City; and Jerry Mamowalas, 31 yrs old from Colombio, Sultan Kudarat were reported dead while two (2) others, identified as Quitin Malid, 23 yrs old from Datalblao, Denlag, Tampakan and Pael Doc, 24 yrs old from Denlag, Tampakan were reported injured
