REGION II (CAGAYAN VALLEY)

Isabela

  • On 25 December 2011 at about 12:00 Noon, a ferryboat capsized due to strong current with nine (9) passengers at Barangay Bella Luz, San Mateo,
    Isabela while crossing the Magat River going to Villa Fugu, Alfonso Lista,
    Ifugao

  • There were four (4) fatalities, namely; Evelyn Alejo who was declared drowned, Jeff Santos who was brought to Banang Bulan but was declared dead on arrival, and Joana Alejo and Jomer Alejo whose bodies were recovered within the vicinity of Barangay Estrella and Old Centro, San Mateo, Isabela

REGION IV-B (MIMAROPA)

Oriental Mindoro

  • Four Barangays (Nagiba 1&2) Andres Ilagan, Buhangin and Pinagsabangan) are being affected by flooding

  • Flood water reach knee deep

  • All roads are still passable to all types of vehicles

Palawan

  • The Coast Guard District of Palawan have reported to have rescued passengers of a motorized Bangka in Cuyo

Romblon

  • There was an advise from Coast Guard Romblon for the cancellation of trip for small vessels due to strong winds and big waves

ACTIONS TAKEN :

  • Coordinated with MPS Naujan, Oriental Mindoro and Public safety Department of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro re flooding incident

  • Coordinated with Coast Guard District Palawan re Maritime incident

  • Disseminated SWB and Gale Warning to PDRRMCs, LGUs, Local Radio stations and Line Agencies through SMS and facsimiles REGION V
