NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, March 19 (PIA6) -- Donations continue to pour for the victims of the February 6 quake which left many Guihulngan City residents homeless.
The Parents and Teachers Association of the St. Benilde School in Bacolod City donated 18 big boxes of relief goods with assorted used clothing, and other miscellaneous items which were turned over to the 11th IB, which in turn distributed the relief goods to the affected families at the evacuation center in Guihulngan City National Highschool on March 11.
Meanwhile, some bags of relief goods were set aside and handed out to selected families around the city who were hardest hit, especially those whose houses were totally wrecked by the strong quake.
The affected residents were further provided with tents from the Office of Civil Defense, which the 11IB “Lapu-Lapu” troopers set-up beside their fallen houses.* (EAD/JCM/-PIA6/11thIB Negros Occidental)
