Foreign Minister provides disaster relief assistance to the Philippines

On 23 December 2011, Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul presented disaster relief assistance worth 3 million baht (approximately 100,000 USD) to Mrs. Maria Teresa Guiang, Charge d’Affaires of the Philippines Embassy in Thailand.

On this occasion, the Foreign Minister expressed sympathy and condolences to the Government and the people of the Philippines on the loss of lives and damages caused by the storms, and wished the Philippines for speedy recovery.

The Charge d’Affaires expressed appreciation for financial assistance and support to the victims in the Philippines.
