● OVERVIEW:
As of 17 July 2023, at 1600 UTC+7, Tropical Cyclone Talim is located in the NW Pacific Ocean with maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h, and wind gusts up to 157 km/h. According to NCHMF, the centre of Talim was estimated based on all available data at 400 km southeast of Mong Cai (Quang Ninh).
● MOVEMENT:
According to ASEAN-DMRS, TC Talim is headed northwest at about 19 km/h, and is expected to weaken over the next 24 hours.
● FORECAST:
➢ TC Talim is expected to make landfall over the Northeastern Region of Viet Nam on the afternoon of 18 July, with the strongest winds of about 69 km/h. ➢ After made its landfall over Northeasertn Region of Viet Nam, TC Talim will continue to move northwest direction about 20 km/h and weaken into a tropical depression, then continue weaken and gradually dissipated.
