East Visayas Pag-IBIG to raise P100K for Pablo victims in Mindanao

TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte, Dec 17 (PIA) -- To help vicytims of typhoon Pablo, the officers and members of Pag-IBIG Fund in Eastern Visayas have agreed to donate cash and kind for them.

Manager Paul Talacay, regional head of the Pag-IBIG, hopes that whatever amount the agency can raise will give help the victims.

Talacay said the Fund is aiming to raise P100,000 from among their 115 officials and personnel in the region.

Aside from the financial donation, Pag-IBIG will also donate clothes.

Typhoon Pablo is considered to be among the worst to hit the country this year, killing more than 1,000 people and about 800 people missing. Those who survived did not only lose their love ones but also their homes and properties.

Eastern Visayas was not directly hit by Pablo although it also felt its fury.

Meanwhile, Talacay disclosed that the Agency continues to process applications for calamity loans due to typhoon Ofel which hit the region in October, and even due to Pablo.(PIA 8)
