This is the final report on the Mayon Phreatomagmatic Eruption following its decreased tendency towards hazardous eruption and the lowering of its Alert Level to Level 2, as well as the return of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to their respective places of origin.

Status of Affected Families / Persons

23,786 families or 91,055 persons in 61 barangays in Albay were affected by the phreatomagmatic eruption of Mayon Volcano (see Table 1).

Status of Displaced Families

Inside Evacuation Centers
21,358 families or 81,556 persons took temporary shelter in 96 evacuation centers, all of which have been decamped (see Table 2).

Outside Evacuation Centers
2,428 families or 9,499 persons temporarily stayed with their relatives or friends, all of which have returned home (see Table 3).

Cost of Assistance

418,450,648.95 worth of assistance was provided to affected families; of which, 100,694,318.72 came from DSWD, ₱56,388,107.86 came from LGUs, ₱57,197,545.08 came from NGOs, and ₱204,170,677.29 came from other humanitarian assistance providers including NGAs (see Table 4).


₱61,973,000.00 worth of assistance was provided to affected families through Cash-for-Work (see Table 5).
