This is the final report on Typhoon Paolo (international name: Lan) which entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on 15 October 2017. It has affected weather systems in Visayas and Mindanao bringing moderate to heavy rains resulting to flashfloods and landslides, and strong to gale force winds generating big waves. It left PAR on 21 October 2017.
Status of Affected Families / Persons
33,463 families or 161,975 persons were affected in 159 barangays (see Table 1).
Status of Displaced Families / Persons
a. There were 2,697 families or 13,159 Persons who stayed inside 28 evacuation centers (see Table 2).
b. 24,449 families or 117,225 persons stayed with their relatives or friends (see Table 3).
Damaged Houses
There were 776 damaged houses—266 of which were totally damaged and 510 were partially damaged (see Table 4).
Cost of Assistance
A total of ₱4,422,867.30 worth of assistance was provided by the Department and the LGUs to the affected families (see Table 5).
