Situation Overview

On 12 December 2017, the monitored Low Pressure Area east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur has developed into a Tropical Depression and was named “Urduja” (international name: Kai-tak). It has intensified into a Tropical Storm as it continued to threaten Samar provinces on 14 December 2017. It has weakened into a Tropical Depression today, 17 December 2017.
