I. Situation Overview
On 11 July 2023, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 575 km East of Virac, Catanduanes. The LPA developed into a Tropical Depression (TD) named “Dodong” on 13 July 2023. On 14 July 2023, TD “Dodong” made landfall in Dinapigue, Isabela. On the same day, the tropical depression turned North Northwestward over the Cagayan Valley and maintained its strength as it moved North Northwestward over the Northwestern Cagayan area. TD “Dodong” continued to accelerates while moving Westward over the coastal waters of Laoag, Ilocos Norte. On 15 July 2023, “Dodong” intensified into a Tropical Storm and exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

II. Status of Affected Areas and Population
A total of 29,289 families or 95,306 persons are affected in 219 barangays in Regions I, III, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, V, VI, VIII and NCR (see Table 1).
