On 14 August 2022, the Municipality of Makilala, North Cotabato experienced flashflood due to heavy rains caused by the Southwest Monsoon and localized thunderstorms.

A total of 45 families or 225 persons are affected in two (2) barangays in Makilala, North Cotabato (see Table 1).
