I. Situation Overview
Issued on 07 July 2024 at 4:00 AM, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms may have brought possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
On 07 July 2024 heavy rainfall brought by the ITCZ caused significant flooding in the municipalities of Sultan Kudarat and Mother Kabuntalan in Maguindanao del Norte.
On 09 July 2024, at around 6:00 PM, sustained heavy downpour brought by ITCZ caused flashfloods to low lying barangays in Matanog, Maguindanao del Norte and in several municipalities in the provinces of Maguindanao del Sur and Lanao del Sur.

II. Status of Affected Areas and Population
A total of 24,227 families or 117,245 persons are affected in 128 barangays in BARMM (see Annex A).
III. Status of Displaced Population
Inside Evacuation Center
There are 491 families or 2,455 persons currently taking temporary shelter in eight (8) evacuation centers in BARMM (see Annex B).
IV. Damaged Houses
A total of 237 houses were damaged; of which, 182 are totally damaged and 55 are partially damaged in BARMM (see Annex C).
V. Cost of Humanitarian Assistance Provided
A total of ₱847,500.00 worth of assistance was provided by DSWD to the affected families (see Annex D).
