I. Situation Overview

Severe Tropical Storm (STS) “Kristine” (Trami) exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 2:00 PM on 25 October 2024, while maintaining its strength as it continued to move west-southwestward over the West Philippine Sea. Its rainbands are expected to still affect parts of Luzon. Meanwhile, the possibility of reentry to PAR in the following week is not ruled out.

Moreover, the southwesterly wind flow induced by both STS “Kristine” and Tropical Storm (TS) “Leon” (Kong-Rey), which is located 850 km East of Central Luzon, will generate strong to gale-force winds in certain regions of the country.

Based on the PAGASA bulletin issued at 4:00 AM on 28 October 2024, TS “Leon” maintains is strength as it decelerates over the Philippine Sea.
