I. Situation Overview
On 08 August 2023 at 4:00AM, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought by Southwest Monsoon / Localized Thunderstorms may have caused possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms to Metro Manila and the rest of the country. Also, light to moderate winds were forecasted to be experienced in Visayas and Mindanao.
On the same day, strong winds were experienced in various barangays in the city of Tagum.

II. Status of Affected Areas and Population
A total of 58 families or 245 persons are affected in four (4) barangays in Tagum City, Davao del Norte (see Table 1).
