I. Situation Overview

Issued on 29 November 2024 at 4:00 AM, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) may have brought possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains in Mindanao, Easter Visayas, Central Visayas, and Negros Island Region.

On the same day, several barangays in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental experienced flooding due to ITCZ.

II. Status of Affected Areas and Population

A total of 638 families or 2,215 persons are affected in five (5) barangays in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental (see Annex A).

III. Status of Displaced Population

Inside Evacuation Center

There are 638 families or 2,215 persons currently taking temporary shelter in eight (8) evacuation centers in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental (see Annex B).

IV. Cost of Humanitarian Assistance Provided

A total of ₱288,400.00 worth of assistance was provided by the Local Government Unit (LGU) to the affected families (see Annex C).
