On 15 September 2020, at around 11PM the Low Pressure Area North-Northwest of Coron, Palawan has developed into Tropical Depression "LEON". Moreover, TD LEON intensifies into a Tropical Storm while Moving West-Northwestward Over the West Philippine Sea at around 5AM of 16 September 2020.

On 17 September 2020, residents from the municipality of Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro were pre-emptively evacuated due to the possible flashfloods and/or landslides that may be caused by Southwest Monsoon enhanced by Tropical Storm “LEON”.

As of today, the Tropical Storm "LEON" maintains its strength and is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

I. Status of Affected Families / Persons

A total of 6 families or 29 persons were affected by the effects of Southwest Monsoon enhanced by Tropical Storm “LEON” in Brgy. Purnaga, Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro (see Table 1).
