Overview

Typhoon KALMAEGI (TINO) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on 02 November 2025, rapidly intensifying and making multiple landfalls across Southern Leyte, Cebu, and Negros Occidental, with severe impacts reported in Dinagat Islands, Homonhon, and the Negros region. The system exited PAR on 06 November after passing near Palawan, leaving widespread disruptions and prompting ongoing emergency response operations in affected areas.

Typhoon FUNG-WONG (UWAN) followed shortly after, entering PAR on 07 November and strengthening into a Super Typhoon by 09 November. It brought destructive winds and heavy rains to Catanduanes, the Bicol Region, and Aurora before making landfall in Dinalungan, Aurora. UWAN weakened as it crossed Northern Luzon, exited PAR on 11 November, and gradually dissipated by 13 November after briefly re-entering near Batanes as a Tropical Depression.

Both typhoons affected a total of 6.9 million individuals, with 286 reported killed and a USD 46.2 million (PHP2.73 billion) damages in agriculture reported.
