The high rainfall intensity over the last seven days has caused flooding in many provinces in Indonesia. In the City of Bitung, North Sulawesi Province, about 1,100 houses were submerged by water and 4,500 people were evacuated because of severe flooding.
Subsequently, flood also submerged nearly 9,000 houses in Lebak and Pandeglang Districts, Banten Province. About 34,000 people are affected.
Severe flooding also affecting 40,291 people in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara Province.
Nearly 5,000 people were affected by flood in Blitar District, East Java Province.
In Pati District, Central Java Province, 1,644 families and 1,009 houses were affected by flood.
6.7 M earthquake shook Surigao City, Caraga, Mindanao on 10 February 2017 at 10:03 PM (UTC +8). Four people were reported to have died and 9,320 people were affected by the incident. The earthquake also damaged 1,790 houses.
