  • On 1 June at 10.30 UTC a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall occurred in the Ayacucho region in south-western Peru, resulting in casualties and damage.
  • According to media, as of 4 June, six people died and one person was rescued after a landslide hit a truck on a road in the Anco district of the La Mar province in the Valley of the Apurimac, Ene and Mantaro rivers (VRAEM) region.
  • Local authorities are conducting search operation as one person is likely still missing.
  • Drier conditions are forecast for the Ayacucho region over the next 48 hours.
