SITUATION OVERVIEW
Five months since drought conditions began to be experienced in Nissan, Fead, Carterets, Mortlock, and Tasman islands in North Bougainville, the usual water and food sources of affected communities are being depleted. An estimated six months is required for these sources, including rain-fed water tanks and food gardens to fully recover. Meanwhile, the affected communities need food and drinking water to survive during that recovery period
