On 12 May 2019, the Panama National System of Civil Protection National Emergency Operations Center (SINAPROC) reported an earthquake of 6.3 magnitude and a depth of 12 miles occurred yesterday at 2:22PM local time, 22 kilometers from Puerto Armuelles city, Chiriquí Province, bordering Costa Rica. The earthquake was felt in the following sectors of Bocas el Toro Province: Finca Blanco, Progreso, Finca 13, Finca Zapote, Finca Corredor, and in Sector Gomez in Bugaba District. Paraguay (Update)
On 13 May 2019, the Paraguay Information Agency (IP) reported an update regarding the recent heavy rain in several parts of the country; at the national level 62,119 families were affected due to floods and humanitarian assistance was provided to people affected in Ñeembucú, Alto Paraguay (Chaco paraguayo), and Central Departments as well as Asuncion city.
