Islamabad, Pakistan [ACTED News] - Around 5,000 families have fled the Tirah valley of Khyber Agency in Pakistan in the past few weeks as a result of localized conflict. A further 5,000 families are expected to be displaced in the coming days. These internally displaced persons are travelling through Kurram and Orakzai Agencies to the districts of Hangu, Kohat and the Peshawar valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. With registration on hold as a result of security issues, ACTED is among the humanitarian actors looking to support the displaced persons both through their ongoing programming and specifically designed projects to meet their emergency needs.
