TİKA Delivers Food Parcels to 1,500 Families in Pakistan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), in collaboration with Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), distributed food packages to families in need across various regions of Pakistan in observance of Ramadan.

At the ceremony, 1,500 food packages prepared by TİKA for distribution in Rawalpindi, Muridke (Punjab), and Oghi (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) were handed over to PBM.

Speaking at the delivery ceremony, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. İrfan Neziroğlu highlighted the strong bonds of brotherhood between Türkiye and Pakistan, noting that TİKA has implemented nearly 700 development cooperation projects in Pakistan over the past 15 years. He emphasized the significance of food aid, alongside initiatives aimed at empowering women and promoting their economic independence.

PBM Director General Shaheen Khalid Butt expressed deep appreciation for Türkiye’s ongoing support, stating that these efforts reflect the enduring friendship between the two nations.

During Ramadan, TİKA continues to foster solidarity between the peoples of Türkiye and Pakistan by organizing iftar programs for orphaned children and students, in addition to providing food aid.
