Security developments in Pakistan, July 6

KARACHI, July 6 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Pakistan at 1220 GMT on Wednesday:

  • KARACHI - Police recovered 87 hand grenades dumped in a drum in the outskirts of the city on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, police recovered five bodies from a bus parked on a main road in the Glushan-e-Iqbal area. All the victims were shot and killed, police said.

Officials said 23 people were killed in Karachi, Pakistan's biggest city and commercial capital, in the last two days in a surge in ethnic and political violence.
