A BEACON OF LEARNING
IQRA'S INSPIRING QUEST FOR EDUCATION
In the remote village of Swabi district, ten-year-old Iqra resides with her parents and siblings—descendants of Afghan immigrants; their family longs for a better life in Pakistan. However, financial constraints and limited awareness of educational opportunities have prevented Iqra from attending school.
Despite her circumstances, Iqra's thirst for knowledge persists. A turning point arrives when she is diagnosed with stage one Chest Cancer, placing an additional burden on her family.
Thankfully, Relief International's Promoting Afghan Children's Education (PACE) program brings hope, establishing the area's Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) centers. Iqra seizes this chance, enrolling with her sister, and their dedication to learning shines. Supported by RI, they thrive in a safe, educational environment, defying the challenges they face.
