Qatar Charity (QC) distributed aid to flood victims and vulnerable people in Pakistan, aiming to alleviate their suffering and meet their daily needs for essential food items.

In Khyber District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Qatar Charity distributed 100 family tents, 400 dry food packages, and 1,724 winterization kits to those affected by the floods. This relief intervention benefited nearly 14,168 persons, including widows, orphans, persons with disabilities, homeless people, women-headed families, and the elderly.

Besides, Qatar Charity distributed 1,600 dry food packages to the vulnerable people in the three districts of Balochistan, which are Naseerabad, Kachi, and Sohbatpur, to meet the food needs of the vulnerable families. This food aid benefited 11,200 persons, including widows, orphans, persons with disabilities, homeless people, women-headed families, and the elderly.

Many high-ranking government officials took part in distributing the relief aid to the beneficiaries in Khyber, appreciating Qatar Charity in such a deserving area.

The beneficiaries expressed their delight with the aid. “I am very thankful to Qatar Charity’s team who visited my village and provided me with a good package which includes dry food, a family tent, and a winterization kit,” said Mrs. Fareed Khan, a beneficiary of the aid.

Mrs. Khair Un Nissa, also a beneficiary, who is a widow and mother of six children, thanked the benefactors of Qatar and Qatar Charity’s team, explaining how much this food package has been important to her children. “During floods, I lost my husband and livestock. I do work on daily wages and can not fulfill my children’s basic needs. Due to this food aid, I will save some money and will purchase clothes for my children,” she said.
