DETAIL OF INCIDENT

In continuation of this office DSRs No. PDMA/PEOC/DSR/2023/Jul­M­22­25 & PDMA/PEOC/DSR/2023/Jul­E­22­25 dated 22­07­2023, On 22­07­2023, torrential rain resulting flash flooding in streams, tributaries due to which the river discharge has also been increased in Chitral River. There is a very high flood in Chitral River and high erosion is reported along the river. River water has overflown and entered nearby houses and damaged the standing crops along the river course. On 25­07­2023, a post­-disaster assessment was carried out in different mouzas, the detail report is as under: ­

RESPONSE

Damages and need assessment have been carried out by District Administration. NFIs provided to 64 families and Food items were provided to 44 families. Restoration of the flooddamaged Irrigation Channels and WSS is in progress.
