Flood situation in Balochistan Province has been improving, while major affected areas are almost back to normal now. Province is now recovering from the heavy inundation. The costs for repairing flooded homes and rebuilding roads and bridges washed away are not yet known. District Administration in Affected Districts is directed to start Assessment and find the extent of Damage in the districts. The situation is under control of Government of Balochistan and the relief activities are already in progress by PDMA and affected DDMAs

Weather Outlook Balochistan: (August 8th , 2013 Time of Issue: 1300 PST)

Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the province, however rain-thundershower is expected at isolated places in northeast Balochistan Zhob, Makran and Kalat divisions during next 24 hours.

Seasonal low lies over northwest Balochistan and adjoining areas. Monsoonal currents from Arabian sea are penetrating into upper/eastern parts of the country.
