Heavy rainfall has continued to hit north-western Pakistan (in particular the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province) over the past few days, causing floods, and a number of severe weather-related incidents that have resulted in casualties and damage.

According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), as of 28 April, ten people have died, 14 have been injured and more than 50 houses have been damaged across almost 20 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Over the next 72 hours, more heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and strong winds is still forecasted over most of the affected province.
