Pakistan: Saudi delegation meets ERRA Deputy Chairman

Islamabad, March 13th, 2006: A Saudi Arabia based relief Organization 'Saudi Public Assistance for Pakistan Earthquake Victims' (SPAPEV) Executive Director, Mr. Alrobaiaan Yousaf Fahad S. from KSA, who is on a visit to Pakistan, met here on Monday with ERRA Deputy Chairman, Major General Nadeem Ahmed Khan at his office.

The Saudi delegation held talks with Maj. Gen. Nadeem Ahmed Khan on reconstruction of Pakistan's earthquake hit areas. The SPAPEV, a Saudi based relief organization working in Pakistan since the October 8 earthquake, showed plan of reconstruction to ERRA, Deputy Chairman.

The SPAPEV, Saudi relief organization is planning to rebuild houses in quake hit areas. The delegation told the Maj. Gen. Nadeem about their reconstruction plan and discussed various matters relating relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction of quake hit areas.

They also told about the relief works carried out by their organization in the quake hit areas. It is pertinent to mention here that Saudi Public Assistance for Pakistan Earthquake Victims (SPAPEV) organization has been working in Pakistan since after the last year earthquake, and so far has distributed a large quantity of relief goods of worth millions of Riyals in quake hit areas of AJK and NWFP.

The SPAPEV has also handed over more than hundred loaded relief goods trucks to different areas of AJK and NWFP. The last Wednesday Saudi Ambassador, Ali Awadh Asseri handed over another consignment for distribution among quake survivors.

The SPAPEV, Regional Director, Abdullah Mosaed Al-Anqari, Deputy Regional Director, Dr.Khalid M.Al-Othamni were also present on the occasion.
