1. Situation Overview
This report, dated September 5, 2025, details the flood situation and ongoing control management efforts in District Muzaffargarh. The total population of the district is 3,528,567. So far, 71,050 people out of an estimated 176,092 have been affected by the flood. The total area likely to be inundated is 176,266 acres, with 56,431 acres already affected. The current discharge of the Chenab River is 331,695 cusecs. A total of 64 'mouzas' (villages) have been affected, with 139 likely to be impacted.
2. Evacuation and Casualties
As a result of the flood, 71,299 people and 49,210 livestock have been evacuated. There have been no reported human or livestock casualties to date. The chart below shows the number of people and livestock evacuated
3. Relief and Rescue Operations:
A total of 22 active flood relief camps have been established along the Chenab River. These camps are providing shelter to 6,172 people, including 1,593 males, 1,912 females, and 2,667 children. Additionally, four tent villages have been set up in Sunaki, Doaba, Railway Track, and Head Muhammad Wala. A total of 306 tents have been installed in these villages, sheltering 850 people.

A total of 134 boats are available for rescue and relief efforts, sourced from the District (28), Armed Forces (22), NGOs (5), Wildlife (3), Police (8), PDMA (4), and private individuals (64). Furthermore, 700 life jackets are available, with 520 for Rescue teams and 180 for the Police.
4. Supplies and Support
Relief efforts include the daily distribution of food to 3,000 people at tent villages, and 2,650 milk packets have been distributed for children. Mospel and mosquito nets have been provided to 780 and 350 people, respectively. Four water tankers are distributing clean drinking water.
Animal fodder has also been distributed, including 1,390 kg of Wanda, 3,838 kg of Silage, 6,423 kg of Green Fodder, and 482 kg of Wheat Straw. A total of 1,763 animals have been treated and vaccinated.
