1. General.

The relief activities continued on third day of the disaster. A brief account of the relief activities is appended below.

2. Update

a. Employment of Military / CAF Resources & Police

(1) Manpower

(a) 1721 x all ranks committed. 150 x Individuals ex Police employed.

(b) 3 x Medical teams ex Army & CAF in village Kawas, Wan Kotli, and Verchum.

(c) Damage assessment in process through aerial/ground reconnaissance parties.

(2) Material

(a) 15 x Helicopters available / engaged.

(b) 5x C-130 arrived carrying relief goods.

(c) Medicines and medical stores delivered to affected areas.

(d) Air/Road Transportation of Relief Stores Completed/ In Hand.

v. Sleeping Bags: 1472

d. Dead / Injured. 166 confirmed dead (80 dead in Wam kotli), Over 345 injured. Causalities treated in Wam Kotli & Kawas Hospitals.
