Highlights
• The Government has pledged US$91 million to the monsoon floods response to date.
• Humanitarian partners are distributing food, shelter, health and water, hygiene and sanitation items from existing stocks to support the Government’s humanitarian assistance to people affected by floods in Balochistan, Punjab and Sindh provinces.
• Humanitarian partners and Government authorities are analyzing data from the Multi-sector Initial Rapid Assessment (MIRA) conducted in five hardest hit districts in Balochistan, Punjab and Sindh provinces. Findings are expected in the coming days.
• Large parts of Balochistan and Sindh are still inundated with water and remain inaccessible. Standing water needs to be pumped out urgently.
