On 27 July, deadly landslides triggered by heavy rainfall occurred in the Districts of Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, northern Pakistan, resulting in casualties and damage.

Following these events, six people died (four in Mansehra, one in Abbottabad and another in Mardan), and four people have been injured.

According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), in this monsoon season, the number of fatalities continues to increase, and, as of 27 July, 168 people died, 254 have been injured, and more than 1 270 houses have been damaged across the country.

For the next 48 hours, moderate to heavy rainfall and strong winds are forecast over most parts of central and northern Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
