Pakistan: Humanitarian Snapshot - FATA Return Overview (as of 15 Apr 2015)

Returns to South Waziristan (SWA), Khyber and North Waziristan (NWA) Agencies of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) started on 16, 20 and 31 March respectively. The Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) endorsed supporting the returns process once the steps in the returns framework were completed, such as conducting security and inter-cluster assessment missions to the return areas, and returns intention survey to ensure a voluntary and dignified return.

The Government and humanitarian partners have made detailed arrangements to facilitate returns.

As of 15 April, 13,141 families returned to Khyber, 180 families to NWA and 4,789 families including 1,551 unregistered families to SWA.
