Pakistan: High floods reported in NWFP rivers

PESHAWAR: High floods have been reported in Swat, Shah Alam and Kabul rivers where the water discharge was recorded at 16413, 8944 and 29813 cusecs, respectively on Monday. According to the NWFP Flood Warning Center, high floods have been reported in Khawazakhela Swat river, at Adezai bridge in Kabul river and Tukhtabad at Shah Alam river. Moreover, medium floods have been reported at Warsak and Nowshera in Kabul river where the water discharge remained at 60190 and 73200 cusecs respectively. Similarly, water discharge remained 20868 cuses at Chrasadda road in River Naguman whereas water release remained normal at Attock in Indus river where it has been recorded at 225400 cusecs.
