SITUATION UPDATE

Since mid-June, massive floods in Pakistan have affected more than 30 million people, with southern Sindh, southwestern Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) provinces the most heavily impacted.

The countrywide death toll from the floods has risen to 1,000, over 660,000 houses have been damaged or destroyed, and 2 million acres of crops are flooded.

Pakistan has declared a national emergency as unprecedented m monsoon rains continue to hammer the country for the third consecutive month, affecting 116 districts.
